AIR Products - Upgrade Path, and Pro Tools 11 AAX Support

In July 2013, Avid announced the release of Pro Tools 11. In this release, their proprietary RTAS plug-in format will be replaced by the AAX plug-in format. The AAX format will be the only plug-in format Pro Tools 11 will support.  This means that customers with RTAS plug-ins will need to update their instruments and effects before upgrading to Pro Tools 11.

We've gathered answers to your most frequent questions about how AIR customers will be affected by Pro Tools 11 and the AAX plug-in format.
